Fashion Fix: Our Favorite Denim Shorts

We're excited about today's post because we are sharing our very favorite denim shorts.  We pretty much live in denim shorts all summer long.  They can be dressed up, dressed down, thrown on over a swim suit or worn with a dressier top to look and feel more put together!

Our summer uniform is pretty much any pair of denim shorts, a basic tank or tee, and then we throw on some fun earrings or a cute necklace and call it a day.  We've tried lots of denim shorts and definitely have our favorites.

We both have this pair of distressed darker wash shorts and love them.  The price is a little higher, but totally worth it in our opinion.  They are SO good, super comfortable and we wear them ALL of the time.

They sit lower on your waist and aren't tight around the legs making them really comfortable to wear!

The next pair we love are these pink ones. They are such a fun pop of color for summer and super comfortable.  Don't let the description scare you.  It says they are high-rise with a 2.5 inch inseam, but I'm so glad I tried these.  I ordered my normal size and they ended up being perfect.  They sit right at my hips making the shorter inseam not too short.

EDITED TO ADD: The pink pair is sold out, but they also come in a washed black HERE

Next up are these white denim shorts.  They are a higher rise hitting right at my belly-button and sort of suck everything in!  They are cut-offs with a rolled hem so not as distressed looking and can be dressed up a bit more.

I'd been searching for a lighter denim pair of cut-offs and had seen several people share about these. Y'all WILL NOT believe the price.  Under $15 and from a retailer you won't believe.  I love this pair because they a lighter weight than regular denim and have a good amount of stretch to them. The inseam is a bit longer and they are a mid-rise.  I sized up in these and love the fit!

I bought these denim shorts on a whim while we were shopping together in the Spring. We both loved the unique distressed edge they had to them and it was a little something different than your typical denim shorts. The fit great with a mid-rise and a slight stretch to them. They are now on major sale right now for under $25!!

These white distressed denim cut-off shorts might be one of my favorite purchases of the year. I purchased them in prep for our trip to The Keys in February and have worn them non-stop ever since.

They are pretty distressed so I typically only wear them with more relaxed outfits. But they are in rotation at least two times a week because I love them that much. They just have that perfect jean short fit. They ride a little bit lower than a mid-rise but still have a great amount of coverage in both rise and booty coverage. They aren't too stretchy and hold their shape throughout the day, which is a huge plus. The price tends to fluctuate on them, but I would gladly spend a little more knowing how much I love these now. I keep meaning to see if they are made in another color.

These elastic waist cut-offs are some of my absolute favorites. I mean an elastic waistband will always win. Always.

They are just an easy pull on short and are a little thicker than you would think for a pull-on so they can be work a little less casually if you like. There's a non-cut-off pair as well that I've had my eye on. I love the colors they come in!

I've been loving the bright jean short trend this summer and these melon colored ones I just couldn't resist. I've worn them way more than I thought I would. They are just a fun pop of color to add in to the mix. They come in five other colors as well!
