Fashion Fix: The Avenue VIP Tour

As many of you know, we are contributors for The Avenue blog. Along with a team of other bloggers we discuss current fashion trends, recipes, gift ideas, events, etc. each month, and it is such a great place to not only shop but to feel a part of our community.

This past weekend The Avenue hosted a fun blogger event giving a behind the scenes tour at some of their establishments as well as a peek at what is going to be trending for this fall - seriously, some awesome items are rolling out fashion wise this fall - you guys are going to want to stay tuned!

It was an amazing event put on by The Avenue, and I loved getting the opportunity to put a face with some of the names we speak with/read about each month, as well as connect with other bloggers. Each business was beyond amazing and super informative to our group.

Here is a little peek at the event, and a few fun tidbits about what will be trending this fall...

THE AVENUE VIP BLOGGER TOUR

Right off the bat you knew this was going to be a fun event. There was a fun red carpet set up and a step and repeat. (There are a ton of pictures of this but I didn't capture one of myself. I will share when I see the photos later.) After we checked in and did a quick "before" photo we headed inside towards hair and make-up where we were greeted with champagne. Yum!

The hair and make up team was provided by the Van Michaels Salon and they did a fabulous job! The ladies were super upbeat, friendly and very informative about the upcoming fall trends in beauty. I was told deep green mossy liners and shadows were very in for eyes, and plum inspired shades for the lips.

Because of my skin tone I was able to test out both and I was super happy with the results. Such great fall colors!

Once we finished with hair and make-up we were treated to a delicious spread from Brixx Wood Fired Pizza. I tried a little bit of everything and it was super yummy. See that in the upper left hand corner? That, my friends, is heaven in pizza form...S'mores Pizza! Need I say more?

Brixx is a yummy spot and if you ever get the chance to give a try - do! The atmosphere is delightful and the food is delicious. They offer both a family friendly atmosphere as well as a great place to be for a girls night out or a date night.

Before we started the official tour we were given a little look at Pantone's fall colors of 2015. I absolutely love the color palette this year!

Our first stop was Loft. We were given a peek at their Fall style book and given a little preview of what will be popular in the upcoming season. I will share more on this later in the week, but a lot of the trends are super exciting and completely versatile staples for your fall closet.

After we went through some of the fashions, we were given a little test. We each were given a pair of pants and we had to come up with three outfits to go with the pants. The winner would receive a special prize from Loft.

The kicker - we had four minutes to choose the outfits from head to toe! Eek! I learned that I am not that fast of a shopper. I was able to come up with one complete outfit to share. If I do say so myself it was pretty cute. I was given this pair of pants in dark denim to work with, and I put it with a super cute top that isn't available online yet but is similar to this top, a navy oversized tote (not available online yet), this jacket, these shoes, and these accessories

Next week I will be sure to share more of what we were shown. Trust me when I say it is
all C-U-T-E!

Our next stop was to the Barre3 studio. You guys know how much I love barre workouts so this was fun for me to visit. The owner of Barre3 took some time and explained to us why Barre3 was different from any other barre studio and how their workout philosophy extends beyond the one hour you are in their studio that day.

If you ever get a chance to attend a Barre3 class I would highly recommend it. It's a unique workout and a purely positive experience. Barre3 does a lot of events throughout the community so be sure to check your local studio to see if there is an upcoming one near you.

The East Cobb studio has two fun events coming up and if you would like to try out a class this would be a great time.

Next stop was Williams-Sonoma. Oh my I love this place. You walk in and everything is just SO pretty.

We were given a fun run down of upcoming events and happenings that Williams-Sonoma will be hosting and we were given a yummy presentation of one of their signature moscow mule mixes. They sure knew how to get their way into this girl's heart

After getting a little libation or two from Williams-Sonoma, we made our way to Versona. Versona is such a fun and inexpensive store. They are always on trend and have a ton of boutique style pieces each season that it is a sure bet for any event you can find a little something to wear available there.

We were given a preview by one of their models of a few of the fall trends that are available. Love, love, love the trends they showed us. They were slightly different from the ones at Loft, but still similar enough that we were getting a good feel for what items will be popular.

I didn't take any photos, but after the preview a few of the ladies attending with me were able to play a fun accessory game. It was a great way to see everyone's individual style and learn how each piece will be incorporated into fall fashion for 2015.

And if you've never been to Versona, just know it is an accessory lovers dream. Hint: turquoise jewelry will be a big thing next season. ;)

I missed taking photos at one of my favorite stops...Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa. They greeted us with yummy coconut water refreshments, and then we were given a behind the scenes peek at each of their spa rooms. Following the tour they allowed us to get mini chair massages (to die for!!!) and see our faces on an infrared scanner (yikes!). This old girl might need to be visiting the on staff esthetician a time or dozen in the next few months.

Our last stop on the tour was to Cheeky - a fun Mexican Taqueria. This was my first time visiting the restaurant, but I can say I will definitely be back!

The atmosphere is so fun, and they have these special VIP tables where you can sit with your group and pour your own beer on tap. I am not a beer drinker, but I know a Magnolia Mama husband or two who might think this is super fun.

Cheeky did an excellent job letting us taste test some of their signature margaritas and cocktails and then giving a scrumptious taste of what their menu has to offer.

How can a girl not fall in love with yummy margaritas and one of the best salsas she's ever tasted?

Once we were happily satisfied with our delicious cocktail hour at Cheeky we made our way back to our starting point and The Avenue surprised us with fun goodie bags after doing our final video interview.

Overall the event was such a treat! It was run by an excellent team and I loved getting a sneak peek at everything. The only thing I wish I could change is I wish Carrie Beth would have had the opportunity to attend as well. I know she would have loved it, and I hope they do more events like this in the future.

Be sure to visit one of The Avenue locations near and enjoy a great community shopping experience for yourself. Also, if you stop by, don't forget to tag #shoptheavenue on any of your social media channels for a chance to win amazing prizes. They do so many fun giveaways each month!

Be sure to check back next week for a more in depth look at fall fashion trends for 2015 and someone told me their might be a fun little giveaway involved. ;)

What trends do you hope to see this fall?
