Fashion Fix: Target Favorites for Summer

Hooray for summer! I've been soaking up these slower days and finally having the time to pop into some of my favorite stores and have been finding so many cute things!!!  I've shared several of these on stories already, but wanted to put everything together in one place to make it easy to find.  Most of these items all come in a few different color options, too!  Here are my Target Favorites for Summer

Stoney Clover Ln + Target

As if we needed another reason to love Target.  They've partnered with another designer for a collaboration that anyone with teen girls is sure to love!  Stoney Clover Lane is known for their adorable accessories. What's even cuter is that so many of their items can be personalized with letters and cute patches.  Like many of Target's designer collaborations the items are MUCH more affordable than it would normally be. Because of that may items will go very fast! This line was released today and many items are already sold out, but there is still some great stuff left and I've linked some of my favorites that are currently still available online!

1. Koozies  ($5)

2. Transparent Zipper Pouch  ($15)

3. Tie-Dye Sandals ($10)

4. SWIM Patch Set  ($20)

5. Beach Towel  ($20)

6. Brush  ($5)

7. Terry Cloth Backpack ($30)

8. Travel Pillow ($12)

9. AirPod Case ($10)

10. Stainless Steel Tumbler ($10)

11. STUFF Patch Set ($20)

12. Journal ($5)

If you can't find what you want online I definitely reccomend checking your local stores, because I was able to snag some great items that are out of stock online!  Also, be sure to check back next week because as people begin to get their online orders some things will be returned to the stores so you can find new items on the shelves that might not have been there before.

I'm so excited about what I got for my girls. I'm putting most of it in their Easter Baskets and I also a few things to hang onto for birthday gifts for some of their friends.  Happy Shopping!

Neutral Sandals From Target

Last week I shared some amazing dupes as part of my Friday Favorites and I was so excited when they showed up last weekend!  The braided heels look SO good that I decided to check out some other neutral sandals from Target. I love to get a few new neutral sandals for spring and summer each year. They are great for everyday wear and also to pack for vacation because they match everything from swimsuits to denim shorts to sundresses.

My Target was pretty limited in-store, but when I checked online I was VERY impressed with the selection. There were lots of great options and I ordered a few more pairs to be prepared for spring and summer.  If there is one thing I have learned from my experience with Target is that the good things don't last long.  If you see something you like it is much better to order now and return later if you change your mind.

My favorite nine neutral sandals from Target!

Left - Right and Top - Bottom.

1. Mulit-Strap Sandal ($14.99)

2. Padded Knot Slide Sandals ($24.99)

3. Two Band Studded Sandals ($24.99)

4. Platform Wedge Heels ($39.99)

5. Platfrom Footbed Sandals ($24.99)

6. Wedge Heels ($34.99)

7. Stud Embellished Slide Sandals ($24.99)

8. Braided Heels ($34.99)

9. Woven Slide Sandals ($24.99)

Target Spring Home Decor 2021

Last week we took a small hiatus for Spring Break. We stayed close to town because of various kid sports commitments, but still managed to have a ton of fun. And knock out a ton of home projects!

We've both been doing a little updating to our homes for Spring and Summer, and as we strolled through the aisles of Target for "groceries" we spotted lots of fun new home decor. Yellow, grays, and blues seem to be dominating the home decor stage this year since Pantone announced their colors of the year for 2021.

And their faux floral department is popping!! I love those little lemon stems

One thing Target has knocked it out of the park this season is with their candles. Don't get us wrong - they always have great smelling candles. But this Golden Hour scent might be our all time favorite. It smells like tropical paradise in a jar! I might or might not have a few more on order already.

Target still has lots of neutrals when it comes to home decor (Joanna and Chip wouldn't have it any other way!), and a great arrange of accessories and furniture that work year round.

Carrie Beth was even able to find the most perfect oversized round coffee table to go with her new living room sectional! (You can see a tiny sneak peek of her living room update here! I can't wait to see more!)

We love these bright colors for Spring, but tend to be a little more neutral when it comes to our homes. We did some browsing and came up with this little Spring room refresh inspiration that we are in love with!

What do you prefer for Spring decor - Bright and Bold colors or more neutral tones?

Target Spring Fashion Finds

The weather in Atlanta was BEAUTIFUL last week.  Warm, sunny, and such a tease of what's to come this spring.  This week is back to cold and rainy here, but I know spring days will be here to stay before we  know it.  I love this time of year when everything is blooming and you can dress in colorful clothing daily!

I found some super cute spring fashion finds at Target and was able to wear every single one of them last week while the warm weather lasted.  I wanted to share my finds with all of you because most of these are under $20! I love solid dresses for spring because they can be dressed up with jewelry and cute sandals or dressed down with sneakers or flip-flops.  Plus they look cute with a denim jacket for cool mornings and evenings, but you can shed the jacket in the afternoon when it's hot.  It's like the perfect outfit for this time of year so a lot of what I'm sharing are dresses!  I'm also going to share a few cute tops because, like the dresses, they can be so versatile.  I love white denim this time of year with a bright and colorful or a pretty pastel top, but those can also be worn into summer with denim cut-off shorts.

All items linked below (left to right, top to bottom) and all of these come in multiple colors.

1. Sleeveless Drop Waist Dress ($15) - My store didn't have my size in this one, but I love the silhouette and the deep V neckline!

2. Sleeveless Babydoll Dress ($15) - This is another one that I love the shape of and I feel like it is flattering on all body types.

3. Knit Tank Dress ($10) - This one is about as basic as it gets, but simple and cute to thrown on all spring and summer long.

4. V-Neck Tee ($8) - These are my very favorite basic v-neck tees.  Come in a ton of colors and super soft!

5. Lace Flutter Sleeve Tank ($15) - This is from Target's Knox Rose line, which I love. Their pieces often have a little more boho feel to them.  I loved the flutter sleeve detail on this and fabric is SO soft.  I'll be wearing this with white denim this spring and with shorts all summer long!

6. Long Sleeve Linen Tee ($15) - I fell in love with this pretty pastel and the lightweight linen makes it perfect for coolers days. This is another one I will wear with pants now and shorts as it starts to warm up because of the lightweight fabric. It is see-through so I wore a solid tank under it.

7. Ruffle Sleeveless Tiered Dress ($35) - My friend actually told me about how amazing this dress was so I had to check it out.  I don't usually like the midi-length dresses on me, but loved this one!  It is so comfortable and doesn't need to be ironed after washing, which is another bonus in my book.

8. Tiered Tank Dress ($20) - My store was out of this one, but I plan to order and wear it as a swim cover up. I have one from Target that is super old, but it is always one of my go-to coverups!

9. Short Sleeved Babydoll Dress ($25) - This dress is comfortable with a capital C!  It is called a sweatshirt dress online, but it's more of a terrycloth material on the inside so it is really soft and would also make a great swim cover up.  Just easy to throw on and feel put together, but really casual and cute. I also love the pretty blue and fuchsia color it comes in.

Target Outdoor Decor 2021

Now that Valentine's has passed, we have all things outdoors on the brain. We're at that point of Winter when we are ready to say goodbye to cold, rainy temps and hello to warm, sunny days. We spend most of our days outside, and this year we have a few large outdoor projects in the works. So when we saw Target has already debuted their 2021 outdoor decor, we couldn't help swooning over a few pieces.

And maybe adding a few of them to our carts already.

It looks like boho and bright colors are reigning strong this year. We are also digging all the fun textures and little details added in (give us all the tassels and poms!).

Here's just a sneak peek at some of our favorites.

Friday Favorites: Tie-Dye Trends at Target

Happy Friday, friends!  Our kids have been off school this week for Winter Break so it's been a semi-relaxing week here for us.  The end of our winter break means March is just over a week away. In our minds March means spring and spring means new trends.  One trend we are LOVING for this spring is tie-dye.  Everywhere you look you'll see tie-dye pieces and one of our favorite stores has a ton of tie-dye trends.  Target never lets us down!

1. Pajama set - $24.99 - These are SUPER soft!!!

2. Olive crewneck sweatshirt - $24.99 -

3. Hooded sweatshirt - $24.99 - We love the way this one laces up in the front. Super cute with leggings or jeans now and will be great transitional piece for spring!

4. Hooded sweatshirt - $24.99 - This one is pretty with the pastel colors and the shorter length makes it a great one to wear with shorts down the road.

5. Short sleeve blouse - $19.99 - This blouse is really light weight and the dye effect is very subtle.

6. Sports bra - $19.99 - Comes in a couple colors and are very bright and fun!

7. Long sleeved blouse - $29.99 - This bright yellow is certain to brighten up any gloomy day as you look forward to spring!

8. Leggings - $34.99 - These come in a few colors and coordinate with the tie-dye sports bras.

9. Lounge sweatshirt - $19.99 - We love this super soft sweatshirt and the color is just beautiful!

10. Sleep dress - $19.99 - The same super soft material as the pajamas and something you will want to sleep in every night!

11. Blue cozy sweatshirt - $29.99 - This is a super lightweight sweatshirt and we just love the circle dye pattern on it!

12. V-neck tee - $8.00 - Want a super affordable piece?  This is it!  This tee is really soft, we love the bright color dye design and would look great with leggings, jeans or denim shorts as it starts to warm up! It also comes in yellow.

Fashion Fix {Ways to Wear it - Transitioning to Fall}

This time of year is so hard to dress for.  All around me I'm seeing boots, sweaters, jeans and all things fall, but if I were to actually tried to wear those things right now I'd probably pass out. It's still hovering around 90 degrees here in Atlanta so unless you sit in air conditioning all day (which I don't...hello kids' sports), then dressing in all of the fall trends isn't a reality just yet.

However, I still love to look the part and taylor my outfit choices to the season we are approaching.  One of the biggest things I love about fall are the colors!

I love them all...beautiful oranges, yellows, browns, deep purples, greens and every other pretty shade that fall brings us.

So, when I saw this cute plaid peplum top the other day it just screamed fall to me and I started think about how it would be perfect to wear it now and into true fall when the weather does cool off.

jeans//plaid top//cardigan//booties

I wore the first look the other day and was chatting with a friend at the baseball fields when she told me I looked just like fall. I laughed and told her that was the look I was going for. It's really all about the fall colors!

plaid top//cardigan//denim shorts//sandals//jeans//booties

So many ways you can wear it!

Look 1: I wore the top with my favorite denim shorts and sandals. I threw this rust colored cardigan for when I was indoors and chilly with the air conditioning and it was perfect for when the sun went down and it cooled off a bit, but it was just as easy to slip the cardigan off and wear the top alone when it was sitting out in the sun at soccer practice that day.

Look 2: As it cools a little bit and I want to wear jeans. This top looks cute with skinny jeans and sandals or even neutral flats.

Look 3: When it really is officially fall weather the top will be great with jeans, the cardigan and booties.

I've pretty much been doing this little trick all week long and will probably be continuing for the next couple of weeks.  A fun fall colored top in a print, stripe or floral with shorts (and maybe a cardigan, if I'm lucky) for now and then wear the same top with jeans and a cardigan for later.  I found some other fun tanks that would be great for now and later!

I shared this picture on Instagram the other day and so many people messaged me about my top. It was a TJ Maxx clearance find at the end of last summer, but again, it fits into my philosophy of wearing tops with fall colors.

Plus, my new James Avery turquoise post earrings have been getting lots of wear so far this fall. They are super light weight, very versatile and a fun pop of color with just about anything I wear. I've been wearing them a bunch with my workout clothes and then with nice outfits, too!  They have a lot of new releases that can help transition outfits into fall! Click HERE to see them all.

My other tip for transitioning to fall is to change up your nail colors from light and bright to darker and more muted colors. I shared some of my favorite shades HERE, but this one I'm currently wearing is called For The Twill Of It and definitely one of my top pics for fall and winter.  It changes color depending on what angle you look at it from green to burgundy to purple and just about everything in between!

We hope everyone has a great weekend.  We'll be glued to the TV watching the updates about Hurricane Florence. So many of my family members are in Wilmington, NC and we are just praying that the damage isn't as bad as they were predicting.

Lilly For Target {Plus a Giveaway}

So over the weekend you might have heard a thing or two (or a million) about the Lilly Pulitzer for Target sale. Well you just know we Lilly lovers couldn't let the event go by without joining in on the fun. :)

I would say we were both semi-prepped. We had seen the look book, had read a few tips, but in comparison to many we were well under prepared. Some people had their Lilly sale shopping down to a science...and trust me when I say, it was not for the faint of heart.

Being a long time Lilly shopper, I kind of knew what to expect with the sale. If the Lilly website itself always crashes during a sale, I just knew to not even attempt the Target online sale. I heard speculations of it going live at 1:00a.m. and was somewhat tempted to stay awake to see but sleep won out.

When I woke up, I instantly regretted that mentality. I realized my shopping buddy C had texted me overnight saying she was able to shop with ease online with no problem and to wake up. Oops! We were scheduled to meet at 7a.m. so before heading out I did a quick check and just as expected word got out and Target.com was shut down.

I actually was more than okay with that because I was so excited to just be witness to the sale and see how it was all going to go down. The pre-shopping portion was so fun. We arrived about 45mins early and were pleasantly surprised to see we were one of the first few in line. We had so much fun chatting it up with those around us and meeting some new people.

Around ten minutes before the doors opened, this nice manager came out to greet everyone, help form a line, and answer questions. He was doing great until someone asked from the crowd where the shoes would be located. You could see the panic set in that he had to give the news that there weren't any shoes in the shipment. Poor guy.

Everyone was so nice and polite and at our portion of the line people remembered who arrived when and graciously lined up in order of arrival. Some even moved around when they realized they would be going in two different directions first in order to give that person a better chance at getting to their section first if they weren't competing. Seriously so nice! C and I ended up about 5th from the front of the line and we were so excited.

Our excitement was almost dampened when a certain teenage girl and her boyfriend (grey sweatshirt to the left) walked right up and cut in front of everyone. To his credit he was completely embarrassed and kept trying to get her to move. She was having no part in it. I was more appalled at her behavior than worried about her cutting. The 200 people behind me, probably were a little more perturbed.

About this time I also received a text from Carrie Beth. She and her mom were shopping at a different store and she told me even though they arrived early there were 150 people in front of them. Craziness! Southern ladies love their Lilly.

Promptly at 8:00a.m. the doors opened and people were off! Listen, there was no time to stop and take pictures. It was a blur and with in seconds the racks were located and stripped bare. And I mean stripped bare. I am pretty sure at 8:03a.m. the Target employees were already taking down the signage.

C and I managed to grab a few things in the frenzy and headed to the dressing room. This was the most interesting scenario. Negotiations were going down as if negotiating a peace treaty in the Middle East. People were swapping sizes and bartering for other items from other sections. It was so fascinating. Carrie Beth said at her location it was a similar situation and sometimes got a little heated.

After one last lap around the store we made our way to check out, with a yummy brunch in our minds. It might have been 8:10a.m. at the point.

I was so excited to run into our line buddy at checkout. Let me just tell you this was the sweetest dad/husband. He came to the sale with one of his three daughters and wanted to get his wife the patio/outdoor items. He showed me his phone home screen of his three daughters Lilly'd out, and a few photos, and said that even though Lilly wasn't his thing it was his wife's and daughters and was excited to join in the fun with them. I LOVED his enthusiasm for the event and was so excited for him at what he managed to find. That is going to be one happy wife and beautiful patio!

Here were some of my finds. I managed a few other things, but am saving those for gifts and don't want to ruin the surprise. I was excited to walk away with anything, especially after learning of other's experiences over the course of the morning. I was saddened to see during checkout a few Ebayers (they were pretty open about it when we were chatting in line) manage to get cart fulls of merchandise when others walked away with nothing.

Carrie Beth witnessed similar actions, but even with being deep in the line and competing with Ebay resellers, she managed to score some super cute items for she and her girls! I am swooning over those pants!

After comparing notes we thought it was so funny how each store had completely different offerings.

Another item I managed to walk away with were these plates. I was actually more excited about the home items than the clothing only because Lilly doesn't produce home items any longer. These plates were on my wish list with the napkins, pillows, and some of the cocktail items, but were the only thing I managed to come home with.

I love the little Lilly for Target symbol hidden in them. I can't wait for the next dinner club we host or shower to bring these out!

Over all I would say the experience was interesting. The event was so hyped up that it created quite a frenzy, but I think everyone around me was genuinely nice and excited for the Lilly experience. I hate that tens of thousands of items are on Ebay right now while others would have loved to have gotten just one thing. My advice would be if the public holds strong and doesn't purchase any of the items on Ebay then the sellers will be forced to either lower prices or return within the 14 day window. Then hopefully it will be start becoming available to everyone again.

With that said Carrie Beth and I wanted to do a little mini Lilly for Target giveaway. Everyone should get a little something right? :)

One lucky reader will receive this Lilly for Target manicure set. To enter simply leave us a comment below. Winner will be chosen randomly, and announced on Saturday, April 25th.

Did you attend the sale? What was your experience like? Did you get any fun items? Have anything you have to return or want to share? We can't wait to hear!
