Sleepover Fun

Do any of you dread Monday's as much as I do?  It's just no fun to start the week back after having such a fun weekend.  We only have 14 days of school left until summer break though, so I am excited about all of the fun end-of-the-year stuff we have on the agenda the next couple of weeks.

This past weekend the guys in our little group were out of town on a guy trip so some of us gals decided that we shouldn't be the only ones to have any fun for the weekend.

Jen and I, along with my sister in law, got together to go to dinner, let the kids play, and just have some girl time. We walked to the local burger joint from our house and had the best time.  We sat outside, enjoyed the warm weather and yummy food.  Was it a little chaotic with 7 kids all 7 and under?  Yes!  But, as we kept saying, it was better than sitting at home by ourselves.

Jen and I were both decked out in our white jeans and Lilly for Target. I was so excited to finally wear something that I had gotten and I am now officially obsessed with my green top.  Just warning you all in case you happen to see it in lots of photos.  I can promise I will be wearing it all the time!

We came back to the house and let the kids play outside while the moms enjoyed a little wine.  My sister-in-law had to go home with her kids (her youngest is only a few months old), but Jen and her crew had planned to spend the night!  It was all fun and games until Boo-Boo got beyond tired. At that point I made the executive decision that it was bedtime f or everyone.  He was asleep within 10 minutes of that decision and slept for a solid 13+ hours!

After we got all of the other kids asleep Jen and I enjoyed some one-on-one girl talk with zero interruptions (which is a very rare thing for us).  Jen was up early with all of the kids (except Boo-Boo who was still snoozing) and they had fun cuddling on the couch watching cartoons. :-)

The kiddos were so excited about donuts for breakfast. What better way to start the day than with sugar and sprinkles?!?

And then we were both off to earn our badges as soccer moms, which we totally love.  So much fun cheering for our little ones!

We hope you all had a great weekend and hope your Monday is off to a great start!

  1. That sounds like a wonderful weekend. I'm envious of the sleepover - I've always wanted to do that as an adult with girlfriends/kids. Ha! And the fact that you can walk to a restaurant is really cool. Glad y'all had a good time!
