Friday Favorites

Woo hoo!  Happy Friday!  I love short weeks because it feels like we just had a weekend and now here we are again welcoming another weekend!  Today I'm linking up with some of our favorite bloggers for Friday Favorites and I have a bunch of random favorites to share today.

The sunrises and sunsets have been amazingly beautiful the past few weeks. I'm not sure if it has anything to do with the weather being all wonky around here or this time of year or what, but when I was on my way to pick up Blondie from a playdates this was the view! So beautiful.

Then yesterday morning on my way to take the girls to school the whole sky was pink and purple and orange.  This picture doesn't do it justice, but I had to stop and take a pic before I pulled down the driveway because I knew it wouldn't last too long!

I recently got a new pair of shoes and I am loving them.  I have the same pair in hot pink and I wear them a ton in the spring and summer.

However, they weren't matching much of my fall/winter clothes so I only wore them for exercising.  I never thought I would want to own a pair of black tennis shoes, but I have worn them SO much!  I love that I can put them on with jeans and still look put together, but have my feet be comfortable when I know I'll be moving around a bunch.  Let's face it, while cute shoes are great and all, they aren't always practical for keeping up with your 3 kids.

On this day my little Boo-Boo begged me to play baseball with him outside, but I had just showered after a hard workout class.  I also knew I would be seeing people later that day at the school so with this outfit I felt put together, but I was still able to pitch, play catch, and run the bases with my buddy!

If you have thought about buying a pair of black tennis shoes, I would say go for it!  For fit, I sized up a 1/2 size for these.

Last Saturday morning I was scrolling Facebook when I saw that it was National Dress Up Your Pet Day. I didn't even know that was a thing, but I told the kids and they were so excited to dress up our dog.  He was a very good sport and posed for a picture before starting to get the hat off!

A few weeks ago when we went to St. Simons for New Years the bed we slept in was SO comfortable.  Like the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in.  When I asked my friend what type of mattress it was she said they had gotten pillow toppers for all of the mattresses at their beach house. The Mr. and I were sold and agreed that we needed one on our bed!  It is seriously like sleeping on a cloud.  So, so comfortable and makes me excited to climb into bed each night!  If you love soft mattresses I would highly recommend getting one of these.
(I just looked and the reviews aren't great on this product, but I really think it's a personal preference kind of thing.  We love it!)
There are others HERE with great reviews.

This week our school celebrated the 100th day of school and all the second graders got to dress up like they were 100 years old!  Blondie was the cutest looking granny I ever did see!

For Christmas, my mom gave all of the girls in our family these Corkcicle canteens.  She ordered them and then had my cousin from Sincerely Southern Co. do the monograms.  Aren't they cute?! This is seriously my new favorite cup!  I loved my Yeti, but now this is perfect because I can throw it in my bag and it won't leak and when I take it to my workout classes I don't have to worry about it getting knocked over (which always happens to someone's water during the class). The other great thing about these is that it keeps drinks cold for SO long.  My ice stayed in it over night last night.  LOVE super cold drinks and this is perfect for keeping it icy cold!

If you missed it, earlier this week I shared how I turned an antique changing table that came from my grandmother's house into a shelf we are using in the playroom. See all the details HERE

And last, but not least, I couldn't close without mentioning our favorite NFL and hometown team...the Atlanta Falcons!  Our city is so pumped up about them playing for the NFC title this weekend.  If they win they advance to the Super Bowl, which would be so exciting for everyone!  Go Falcons!  #RiseUp

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and we will see you back here next week!
