Everyday Organizing for Busy Moms {Keep a Family Calendar}

Thank you Happy Everything!™ by Laura Johnson for sponsoring this post. All thoughts, ideas and opinions are my own!

Happy New Year!  I can hardly believe it is 2022.  I always love the start of a new year. It's a chance for new opportunities, new adventures, and sort of a blank slate to make of it what you will. This stage of life is busier than any I have experienced as a mom and I find my never ending to-do list growing while it feels like my time to get it all done is shrinking.  The only way I'm able to manage is by staying organized! I decided to start a new series on the blog about everyday organizing for busy moms just like me.  Once a month I'll share tips and things I do to help keep the train rolling around here in the hopes that some of the things might help another mom!

My first tip is to keep a family calendar.  I know there are all sorts of digital options, shared Google calendars and so much more, but for me and my family being able to see it all written out in once place is really helpful. It give us an overview of what the month will look like and saves my son having to ask me a million times what he has the next day. School holiday coming up?  They can count down on their own. Big game approaching? They can see that, too. Everyone can literally see what is happening every time they walk past it.

I recently upgraded the Happy Everything! Wall Calendar from the Coton Colors Flagship store here in Atlanta! The the old wall calendar I had just wasn't cutting it.  I am SO in love with this one.  It comes in two sizes, 18 and 30 inches.  I knew the larger one would fit my space better so went with that. I love that it has dry erase capability because the calendar constantly changes when practices get added or changed and it makes it easy to update. It's also magnetic which is just genius!  All those cute little Happy Everything! attachments that have velcro on the back can be made into a magnet with the converter magnets they sell.  It's fun to switch it up seasonally and add personality with my kids' sports attachments. The store here in Atlanta has every attachment and accessory you could imagine!

It also comes with the frame to attach on the top with all of the months of the year cards.

I'm excited to share more next month. Let me know if there are any specific topics or tips you want me to include. Do you have any everyday organization tips that would be helpful to moms?  Let me know so we can all help each other out and start this year off feeling a little less frazzled!

  1. I use a family calendar too but we just use a traditional paper wall calendar. Having everything written out in that format helps me so much since I'm a visual learning (I can even picture our calendar in my head when we're out and about for scheduling things like doctor and dentist appointments).
