Making Post Game Snack A Grand Slam! {printable}

Sports season is here! All though it never officially stops for us. But during the Spring we are in full sports mode and there's no stopping until June.

We spend our weeks racing from practice to practice, eating dinner somewhere around 4:30p.m. and then again (because kids are always hungry) at 9:00p.m., and doing homework/answering emails/returning phone calls amidst the chaos of it all.

We spend our weekends cheering on the sidelines of rainy soccer fields, jetting off to a variety of cities for two-day cheer competitions, and keeping scoreboard for the little league team all day long.

Our cars are loaded down with enough sporting goods that we could open our own Dicks, and we're burning all those hard earned hotel rewards points from swiping our Amex at Target at a mind boggling rate for out of state competitions and tournaments.

And we wouldn't change a single thing.

Well other than holding practice in anything under 40 degrees. We're southerners, it should be against the law! #mommydoesntdocold

We love that our kids are so active and enjoy a variety of activities. We were both the same way growing up and love seeing what our children are into as they get older and become comfortable in their own interests. Now we know it will change as they get older, and their interests will evolve, but for now we are happy to support them in whatever they choose - even if it means we ate an old granola bar for dinner and our cars have the scent of au de sweaty child.

Being a sports mom means you have a lot of duties. Most importantly - the after game snack.

If you don't bring your A game in the after game snack department you'll be ejected faster than you can say #momfail.

With so many kids in so many different activities though, we learned long ago to keep the actual snack portion of the snack time super easy. No pinterest worthy sports themed snacks coming from this crew. There was a time way back in the day that we had time for that, but now we go with healthy already prepared snacks that we know kids love

We choose the kids favorite Slammers pouches, a crunchy snack or granola bar, and we package them up with waters or our favorite sports drinks. We package them all together with a cute printable and then we are ready to go.

The best thing about this is it looks like we put a ton of effort into it to make it pretty and themed, but really we let the snacks do the talking and we lay claim to after game snack hall of fame.

During basketball season I was inspired by these Slammers pouches to create a fun themed printable. These are our one of our favorite protein packed snacks, and they are perfect for refueling little athletes. There are so many yummy flavors to choose from and our kids love when we freeze them as a post game treat.

I had made a soccer printable and a few other sports ones a few years ago, but I needed to add basketball and baseball into the mix. These are some of our favorite go-to snacks, and with the fun sayings and flavors it was easy to pair together a fun printable with a healthy snack with just a few seconds of effort.

For basketball season I came up with partnering the orange Epic pouches with a printable that read "Let's Make Snack a SLAM DUNK"!

Free Basketball snack printable. Great printable for after game snack, basketball themed parties, or basketball practice.

I attached it with curling ribbon to the actual pouch, passed out orange sports drinks with it and we were all set for a yummy after game snack.

Now that Spring sports are in full effect, I recycled the idea for soccer reusing my already made printable. Then I got inspired again by the pouches and created a new printable for baseball season.

I easily came up with the theme "Let's Make Snack a GRAND SLAM!". See lots of cute, not a whole lot of effort. :)

And I've been wanting to use this stash of Take Me Out to the Ball Game ribbon for years. I was so glad to find the perfect time to use it!

I put all our snack goodies together in a lunch bag and tied them up. Super easy, and looks great for a quick grab and go after game snack.

Baseball snack printable. Free printable for baseball themed snacks, after game snack time, and baseball parties.

Now we can reuse these over and over the entire season and not even give two thoughts to our game day duties. Just a quick print on our printer, and a quick shopping trip to our pantry for all the snacks.

Now you can win at making your post game snack a grand slam too. Here are the downloads for the printables for you to enjoy!

Cheer Snacks {Free Printable}

My girls are cheering together this season and having an absolute ball.  Since Little Mama has cheered before I knew she would love it again, but I wasn't quite sure what Blondie would think. She has surprised me though and really is having more fun than I could have imagined.

I love having them both in uniform on the field and love all of the adorable photo opportunities, too!

Each girl on the squad has to sign up to either make the run-through banner for the football players OR bring snacks for the girls at half-time.  Since both my girls are cheering we got to do both!

As soon as I saw the cute printable Jen made for soccer snacks HERE, I knew I wanted to do something similar when it was time for our cheer snacks.  She was sweet enough to create a cheerleader themed printable and I took full advantage of the links to a FREE DOWNLOAD!  Who doesn't love something for free??!!??

A while back when I was cruising the aisles at Wal-Mart I spotted this cute ribbon and since the colors were perfect I grabbed a few rolls and knew I would use it for something this season.  That something just so happened to be the half-time snacks for this week.

The girls helped me fill the plain white paper sacks with Halloween themed granola bars and Pirate's Booty and then I hole-punched and tied everything together.  It was super simple and I know all the cheerleaders will think it is a super cute themed snack for tomorrow's game.

For the run-through banner, I rolled out and taped the banner in our garage.  Then I did a rough sketch with a pencil to get the spacing right, outlined the letters in paint and let the girls have at it to fill in the letters.

All that is left for me to do is tape the sign to the poles and get it to the game tomorrow. After I deliver that and the snacks, I will officially have completed my cheer mom duties for this season!

Being the sweet and giving person that Jen is, she created 3 different sports-themed snack printables.  Aren't they all so cute??  See below for the links to each individual one.

Way to Goal {printable}

Spring sports have been in full swing here for a few weeks now, and we've been spending a good bit of time at the soccer fields. The weather has been ah-mazing lately, so we've happily enjoyed our time both on the fields and on the sidelines.

This past weekend I was in charge of the after game snack for Cute's team. We've been with the same team and coach for a few seasons now, so I decided my go-to printable for snack time needed a little refresh.

I let Cute pick out what he and his teammates would like for their post game refuel, and after steering clear of a snack entirely built on Easter candy (negotiations were fierce), the rest was easy.

I updated the printable with a new saying and to include his team name and colors.

Needless to say team Magic was super pumped both about their win, and their post game snack.

If anyone is interested in using the refresh for your own little soccer star HERE is a link to download a generic version I made.

Let's Kick Off Snack

While school was taking a Fall Break last week, so were our extra circulars. Tomorrow marks the restart of our soccer season. I could not be more excited! It is so fun to see Cute and his teammates run around in their tiny shin guards and t-shirt jerseys that are way too big for them. Adorable!

This morning I decided to put together a fun snack for Cute and some of his teammate friends in prep for tomorrow's practice and mini game.

First I mixed together some of his favorite snacks to make a mix (Chex cereal mix, Goldfish, animal crackers, and pretzels).

Then I put the mixture in a cellophane treat bag, and stapled it closed with a fun printable I created.

It would probably be a lot cuter to hole punch and attach with ribbon, but I was already committed.

And, I apparently, need to learn how to staple in a straight line.

Pair this with an ice cold Gatorade and we are all set for tomorrow's game!

And just for fun, I made some snack tags for some other Fall sports. I plan on adding some for Winter and Spring sports as well, so stay tuned.

Make Life Sweet with OREO Cookies & Crème Chocolate King Size Bars {Giveaway!}

This post was sponsored by OREO as part of an Influencer Activation for Influence Central and all opinions expressed in my post are my own.

Do you have a special mommy treat you look forward to daily? Once a week? On occasion? We have a have a few. We love to take a break with a good book (or listen these days). We savor those mani/pedis we schedule monthly. And of course there's that special "mommy juice" we all tend to indulge in when we have to do things like algebra homework, a week's worth of smelly soccer laundry, or just need to unwind with after an afternoon playing mom-taxi across the state. Our newest favorite treat are these OREO Cookies & Crème Chocolate King Size Bars we found at Walmart.

As if OREOs needed to get any better.

Milka white chocolate anything is our weakness. Add in OREO cookies pieces to the mix, and we've just found our new favorite "hide in the back of the pantry behind the vegetables so the kids don't get it" snack. So. Much. Yum.

These OREO Cookies & Crème Chocolate King Size Bars are new and can be found in the candy section of the checkout lanes. They are large enough to eat one now and save one for later, or to share - if you're into that kind of thing.

Now we might not be into sharing our own. But, we are into sharing with our mom friends or anyone who might need a little pick me up. We loved this new OREO Cookies & Crème Chocolate Bar so much that we couldn't resist having a little fun with it and giving a few people a little new addiction surprise treat to enjoy.

Motherhood can be rewarding, fulfilling, tiring, stressful, funny, and chaotic all rolled into one. We're sure that there are many more adjectives that can be used to describe it, but you get the basic idea - motherhood wears a lot of hats, and comes with a lot of emotions.

We are so lucky that we have found a great circle of fellow moms along that help encourage and lift us up when we we need it the most. We always chat about how isolating motherhood can be sometimes and how often we worry if we are doing a great job. The answer is YES! Yes, we are all doing a great job - but it doesn't always feel that way. So we love being able to find little ways to remind the moms around us just how special they are.

When we were chatting about the goodness that is the OREO Cookies & Crème Chocolate Bars, we came up with this fun idea to leave little treat surprises to other moms. Something super yummy with words of encouragements to help bring a little smile to their face.

We left our OREO surprises on friends door steps, on random mother's cars that we saw in parking lots, and - at the time - our children's teacher's desks. We taking part in random acts of kindness like these, and what easier way to do that than with a quick, yummy, ready-to-go treat?

Putting together these OREO treats was super easy. And we've made it even easier for you to spread a little snack time love yourself!

Here are the downloads to printables we created. Just print them off, grab some OREO Cookies & Crème Chocolate King Size Bars from Walmart, add a little ribbon and done!
