Easter Wreaths {Ready for Spring}

I can hardly believe we are already into March.  Earlier this week it felt SO nice and warm. On Sunday afternoon after church the kids changed into play clothes and I sent them outside to play. I had to drag them in for dinner when it got dark.  Don't you just love days like that. We grilled out for dinner that evening and the whole day made me think of the lazy days of summer. That warm weather also got me excited for Spring and all that it holds, including Easter!  I spent Sunday afternoon pulling out my Easter decorations, while Walker stood guard.

I don't do too much for Easter decorations, but I always like to do a little something for each holiday inside and on the porch.  My Easter wreaths are, by far, my very favorite front door decor that I own. I just love those little bunnies, the felt flowers, and the lace they are hanging by.

I made these wreaths last year and it was really so simple.  If you want to try your hand at making your own you can check out the tutorial I wrote last year HERE.

One thing I love most about our house is the big wraparound porch. I've always wanted a big front porch and it makes me so happy to sit out here and watch the kids play.  of course, having some cute decorations on the porch make it even more enjoyable.

Inside I changed our chalkboard message. I might change it again, but for now at least it doesn't say Happy Valentine's Day, which is what was up until this week. Yikes!

Besides putting some jellybeans in a dish the only other decorating I do for Easter is putting out a few of my other favorite little things.

Around the house I have several little signs of Spring.  Walking past my dining room and seeing the sun shining in on these bright green boxwood sprigs just makes me smile.

On the kitchen table I added lemons to my dough bowl.  That along with my yellow pillows just make things brighter and more cheery!

And speaking of happy yellow things, just a few days ago the daffodils that randomly appeared last year popped up again.  It is a goal of mine to one day have a beautiful flower garden where I can constantly have fresh flowers in my kitchen, but for now I will just have to settle for these lovelies that grow without any help from yours truly.

  1. Where did you find the easter eggs? I love the size and colors! Do you have a tutorial for the easter egg wreath?

    1. I got the Easter Eggs a few years ago at Hobby Lobby, which is usually my favorite place for holiday decor. The Easter Egg wreath actually came from the holiday aisle at the grocery story (Kroger), believe it or not. I got it several years ago also.
