Movie Review {Home}

A little over a week ago when the Mr. was out of town, I took the kids to dinner and to see a movie. My kids LOVE going to the movies and had been talking about seeing Home since we saw the poster for it last time we were at the movies.

Honestly, I had not really heard anything about this movie, no real promoting of it and had no clue what it was even about.  Here is a brief synopsis from Fandango.com

When a misfit alien named Oh crash lands on Earth, he forms an unlikely friendship with Tip, an adventurous but untrusting girl. Together they form an odd couple friendship and embark on a global road trip while on the run from Oh's own alien species. Their wild trip and growing bond of friendship plays a vital role in intergalactic relations.

From the very first scene this movie makes you love the alien character "Oh" and we were constantly cheering for him as he and the Tip's friendship grew and as they learned how to trust each other in their greatest times of need.

There were cute parts where the aliens were discovering household items we have here on earth and when they were learning about dancing.  There was good music, lots of humor and a sweet story about friendship to go along with it.  I only wish this movie had gotten more publicity because I really think it is the perfect movie for kids!  I've been telling everyone I know that they should go see it and now I'm telling all of you!  I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a kid-friendly movie. Go see it!

  1. My daughter went to see it for a birthday party and loved it. I hadn't even heard of it when she said she wanted to see it. Maybe i'll catch it when it's released.
