Spring Coordinating Outfits

Some call it crazy, but I love coordinating outfits!  When my kids were little considered dressing them a hobby.  I loved buying and planning their outfits and I dressed them in matching or coordinating outfits almost every day for as long as I could. Let's take a walk down memory lane...

Then my kids grew up, started to care what they wore and now they look like they are homeless half the the time.

Kidding, kind of.

I still try to semi-coordinate for holidays like Easter or Christmas, but generally my people just roll their eyes and tell me no thank you.

A few weeks ago when the girls and I were shopping in Old Navy we each picked out a few items and realized that they all matched.  I swear we didn't plan it and realized it only after we were in the dressing rooms.  Shocked that they didn't turn their noses up at it after they realized, I jumped at my chance to live out my matching outfit dreams and headed to the register as fast as I could!

They gave into my pleas to wear our pieces just once on the same day so I could get a pictures...just like old times!

Once I started looking around on Old Navy's site I realized that I must not be the only one who likes her family to coordinate because there are a ton of fabrics, prints and styles that coordinate from women's to girls to baby.  AND, they have an entire page dedicated to family matching.  I've always loved Old Navy for inexpensive, but cute items and now I love them even more...they are my people!

In all seriousness though, I really love the prints and styles.  This flutter top is so flattering and easy to wear.  Plus, it's on sale for under $15 once you add it to your cart and comes in a few colors! I love how it pops against it with white denim...

But have also worn it with regular jeans, too!  It's just a fun, easy to throw on top that make you look and feel a little more put together than wearing a t-shirt.  And did I mention it's on sale for under $15?!!

After talking to Jen about their family coordinating styles she told me she had actually picked up a few things for her girls that coordinated, too!

Same colors, just different floral prints, but love how sweet and cheerful they look!

They're having a big sale right now and almost everything is discounted in one way or another.  It's a great time to stock up on some basics for spring now that the weather is finally warming up or pick out a few matching styles for Easter, spring events, photos, outings or even just a photo op like the good ol' days!

While we are on the subject of Old Navy I also want to share this cute top!  It's a linen blend and I love the flutter sleeves.  That's a huge trend right now and I love it because it feels so feminine!  This one is also one sale for under $15 and I will be wearing with white jeans and my denim cut-offs all spring and summer long!

My jewelry is from InspireDesigns. Friday Favorites

Hooray for Friday Is it just me, or did this feel like the longest week ever?  Halloween on a Wednesday just threw us all for a loop. Happy the weekend is finally here though!

Linking up today with some of our favorite bloggers for Friday Favorites to share some of my recent favorites.

OK, I have been talking about my new favorite jeans for a few weeks now and I'm still loving them just as much as I was then.  They are on sale for $30 today!

They have an elastic waistband and they are SO comfortable.

I recently discovered they also come in black, which I got, and have been wearing a bunch also!  I do feel like the black ones fit a little differently, but still some of my favorite pants to wear. Plus, they are on sale for $25 today!!!

While I thought those elastic waistband jeans were my all time favorite, I might have been lying. While I was picking up the black ones I decided to try on these gray/black ones and Oh.My.Goodness.

Y'all, they feel like pajamas. They are SO dang comfy and SO soft. Now, they have a regular waist band, so different than the others, but the material of these make you feel like you are wearing the softest leggings all day long. They are AMAZING!

I tried on some of the other colors and felt like they didn't fit the same, but these gray ones are my favorite!

I love switching to darker nail polish for the fall and winter and one of my new favorites is Wicked by Essie. It's a super dark burgundy color that almost looks black and it is super shiny on. I love it!

With the cooler weather comes dryer skin. I'm lathering up with lotion like crazy and constantly have to have something on my dry lips. I love this Peppermint Lip Conditioner. It's not to gloopy like some chapsticks can be and it has just the faintest hint of peppermint smell.

No way I could do a Friday Favorites without including some pictures from Halloween!  It is one of my favorite holidays because I love seeing how excited the kids get to dress up and go Trick-or-Treating. This year was a bit different for us because each of my girls went to Trick-or-Treat with a friend and we took Boo-Boo with some of our sweet friends who invited us over. So, event though we were all spread out, it was still a fun night! My little guy told me months ago that he wanted to be The Freeze for Halloween and I was so excited when he didn't change his mind to something else.

He's obsessed with being fast so this was the perfect costume for him. He asked me to dress up as the Braves fan who races him, so of course that is what I did.

I don't know about y'all, but the day after Halloween is rough!

Jen and I decided to turn our day after Halloween mood around and meet for a fun afternoon yesterday. We took the kids to Springfree Trampoline at The Avenue East Cobb to let them jump, play, and basically have a ball.

A trampoline has been mentioned over and over again by our kids as something they would like to put on their Christmas Wish List, so we thought a trip to the store to give them another test run was in order.

Some of you may remember that we shared a little about Springfree earlier this year and our kids just LOVE jumping on these trampolines.

From the basketball hoop to the their unique interactive technology and all of the safety measures, these trampolines are both safe and fun making it a favorite of kids and moms like us!

We'll see if they end up keeping this on their wish list, but if we had to bet, they will!

We hope everyone has a fabulous Friday and a wonderful weekend!!!  See you back here next week!

Fashion Fix: Ways to Wear It

Two weeks ago I shared a fun Luxe Tank that can be worn now with shorts and later into fall with jeans, white pants and a jacket.  Here at The Magnolia Mamas, Jen and I are all about wardrobe pieces we can mix and match and get lots of use out of. Well, I'm back today with another find that I just love and have gotten so many compliments on recently!

This dress is one I got about a month ago and have been LOVING it. I've worn it so many times so far because it is so comfortable. It's really light weight and flowy so it just wears well.  Plus, I love that I can wear it now with flip-flops or sandals...

...and later into fall with booties and a denim jacket!

I actually loved it so much that I ordered this purple print also. Just like the blue dress, this one can be worn several different ways!  For now I'm still wearing it alone with sandals because it is so dang hot in Atlanta, but when it starts to cool off I'll add my denim jacket and booties or a cardigan and boots!  One dress. Three ways to wear it.

Old Navy is having a big Labor Day Sale this weekend with 50% off a lot of their dresses so I feel like there are so many other options you could do this with...wear different ways and make them last from now through fall just by adding a sweater or jacket.  Plus, for dresses that are $20 or less, that's such a steal when you think about all the ways you can wear it!

We hope everyone has a wonderful long weekend!!!  See you back here next week!!!

Fashion Fix {Old Navy Spring Style}

It has been SO cold here lately. Like in the 40's some this week.  Everyone here in the south is over the cold and ready for our sunny spring weather.  We live down here for a reason and winter temperatures in the spring is not one of them.  We might just be turning a corner though.  Pollen is covering our porches and the temperatures are supposed to be above 70 for the next few days.  Woo hoo!!! With warmer weather comes some new wardrobe pieces!

We've mentioned it time and time again, but one of our favorite places to shop is Old Navy. It happens time and time again, but someone will ask us where we got a piece of clothing and then be completely shocked when we say Old Navy.  Here's the deal...there are some things we splurge on, but for basics, trendy pieces and just everyday wear, you can bet we are going to be trying to do it on a budget (hello, remember our DIY denim shorts project). The thing is though, Old Navy has super cute stuff.  Everything is super fashionable, on trend with the season, and a comes with a great price tag that won't break the bank.

This post is not sponsored in anyway, shape or form. We just wanted to share some of our favorites with you lovely ladies and celebrate this warm weather together!

This blush pink field jacket has been on constant rotation the past few weeks. On those days when it is still cold, but you want to look a bit more like spring, this is the perfect light weight jacket.    Unfortunately the pink is sold out in some sizes online, but you might be able to find one at your local  store.  Bonus, this jacket comes in seven colors/patterns, so you might be interested in another one. I have the Hunter Pines color and wear it all fall/winter.  It's just a great jacket that is perfect for this time of year AND it is on sale right now!

This pretty color is a child's size, but it comes in XXL so some of you Small or XS ladies might be able to make this work!

Casual dresses are another thing we love from Old Navy.  This striped seersucker looking dress is one of my new favorites!  It is SO comfortable and lightweight. For sizing, CB has the small and it is plenty long enough.

I wore it during our trip to Florida a few weeks ago and just threw on a denim jacket (another awesome Old Navy find) because it was cooler at night.  Best part is that it is on sale for less than $25 right now!

It's no surprise that we love all things preppy and gingham is just one of those prints that we can't get enough of. This gingham top as the sweetest little ruffle trim and is perfect for spring and summer.

Speaking of gingham, we are in LOVE with this gingham romper. I (Carrie Beth) saw it in the store and bought two right away...one for myself and one for Jen as part of her birthday gift! Seriously so cute.  It will be perfect as a swim cover up or even just to throw on for an easy and casual outfit this summer with sandals and fun jewelry! For sizing info, Jen has this in a small and Carrie Beth needed a medium for length. Straps are adjustable though!

In fact, the more we looked around, Old Navy is killing it with their gingham game this season.  Those bow wedges are calling our names and we can't wait to give the swimsuits a try, too!

As we mentioned before, Old Navy is also great for basics like tees and tanks. These are so easy to throw on with jeans or shorts for a comfy, but put together look.

And last, but not least of our fun Old Navy finds today are these adorable clutches.  So fun for warmer weather and a perfect size when you don't need a huge bag!

We hope you all have a very happy Thursday.  If you haven't entered our Home Sweet Home giveaway yet, be sure to enter here!!!
