Spring Fashion with Findlay Rowe

Spring might be our favorite season for fashion. Everything is warming up, and brighter colors start to emerge in our wardrobes - after a winter full of black and fleece, it's refreshing. And just like our homes, we've felt the need to do a little spring updating.

We've made our way to the usual retail favorites to check on trends and pick up a few new staples here and there, but one of our favorite places for spring fashion finds is Findlay Rowe! We usually share them for their fabulous home decor and gifts, but they have a great section dedicated to fashion.

From on trend accessories, to fun dresses, to on trend sneakers - they have it all!

Here is a quick peek at just a few of our favorite looks.

Fashion Fix: Fall Dresses We Love

We've got Fall on the brain since back-to-school season is in full swing. We know it is still going to be hot here, so we've been looking at some fun transitional dress options. We love when we can throw on a cozy sweater and some boots, or grab some cute sandals and some cute jewelry, but still look "Fall" no matter what the weather here in the South might hold.

Looking at some of our favorite retailers, it seems that puff sleeves, floral patterns, and smocked bodices are reigning strong. Tie dye is still holding in there, with a fun casual twist (just throw on your favorite pair of sneakers).

Thankfully a more form fitting update to the peasant dresses we saw in the Spring are making an appearance. So a little less Oregon Trail and a little more chic.

Here's a look at some of our favorite dresses we've spotted for the Fall. We've linked up all the options you see (and a few extras at some retailers).

Which style of dress are you most excited about this Fall?

Budget Friendly Activewear We LOVE!

In 2020, we embraced the athleisure trend with open arms. In 2021, we have no plans on stopping. It just works for us. Our jobs are at home, and we wear so many hats throughout the day, we've come to value an outfit that can keep up with our lifestyle.

Trendy and affordable activewear is becoming more common, but weeding through the brands to make sure they pass the test can be tedious. Sure you look good, but then you bend over, and well...the rest is see through not for children's eyes history. And while we love a good pair of compression leggings, we also love our blood being able to circulate. Then there is our personal favorite - making sure our sports bra is supportive, but also doesn't require a Houdini like effort to get in and out of it. Or our husbands and a pair of scissors.

By the grace of the activewear gods though, we've stumbled upon a new affordable athletic wear brand that we absolutely LOVE

Budget friendly active wear

SOFT AS CLOUDS ACTIVEWEAR

We were introduced to Halara a few months ago, and each tried a few pieces. OMG! When they say "soft as clouds activewear" they have the buttery goodness to back it up.

Putting on their Cloud9 leggings is like wearing a second skin. A really smooth soft, second skin that's been blessed by the wings of an angel.

Then we tried their "In My Feels" line, and found equally comfortable results!

Even better...Halara's soft, yet supportive technology doesn't stop at leggings. They have a whole line of amazing activewear pieces to ensure you're comfortable head to toe!

TRENDY + AFFORDABLE + SUSTAINABLE

One of our favorite things about the Halara brand is that they make trendy, high quality athletic wear pieces, but at super affordable price points.

We were instantly drawn to all the on trend patterns, and fun sports bra backs that look like more expensive brands, but without the expensive price tag to go with it. Everything on their website is under $50 (with a lot of items $25-$30!), and they offer free shipping for orders over $59.

Even more amazing? Their mission is to make their brand 100% sustainable. They are a brand created for women, run by women, and are committed to creating their fun activewear pieces while avoiding the fast fashion traps. They also have plans for expanding their collection to offer organic and recycled pieces.

"TAKE IT EASY, MAKE IT FUN" WITH US

Halara means "take it easy" in Greek, and this has become their company's mission statement. Well we want you to make it your mission too! We love Halara (And we know you will!!!), so we asked them for a discount code. They were happy to share with our readers!

Use code FFGGBS to snag 30% off your Halara athletic wear purchase!

We've already got another order in our carts, but you'll have to tell us what pieces you are going to try and how much you love them!

Affordable Fall Fashion {From Walmart!}

The past few weeks we have experienced much cooler temperatures and it makes me SO excited for Fall.  Don't get me wrong...I love summer. We so enjoy the lazy days of hanging at the lake, swimming with friends, and soaking up the hot sunshine. However, that first day when the weather starts to turn cool and crips, the leaves start to change, and you can walk outside without breaking into a sweat I remember just how much I love this time of year.

I also love dressing for the fall. Lots of layers fun patterns and cozy styles. I recently ordered a few things from Walmart and was SO impressed with the quality, comfort and style. Even my label obsessed 13 year old saw the items and was said, "Walmart has stepped up their game!"

Camo Sweatshirt (from Walmart)//Leggings//Sneakers//Earrings

Snakeskin Sneakers (from Walmart)//Bag (from Walmart)//Denim//Tee//Necklace

The best part of all of these items is you don't have to stress about a big price tag. It's no secret that I am a Walmart lover, especially for adding a few fun pieces to your closet without the guilt of spending too much! If you check the reviews on many of these items you will see that I'm not alone.  Tons of great reviews and lots of praise.

Everything is linked below. Left --> Right, Top --> Bottom

1. Zipper Bootie ($14.00) - These come in several colors and area also available in a wide width.

2. Snake Skin Slip On ($14.00) - These are a great type of shoe for transitioning to fall.  You can wear the with denim, leggings or dresses when you feel like it's too late in the summer to wear sandals, but not quite time for booties. Plus the snakeskin print is still so trendy for this fall.

3. Star Sneakers ($19.00) - I have the other version of these and they are really comfortable and give you the Golden Goose look, for much less.

4. Sneaker Wedge ($8.00) - I believe these are left over from last year because I have something really similar that I wore a ton last winter with denim.  It gives a little more of a dressed up look, but still keeps your feet comfortable.

5. Sleeveless Knit Dress ($9.00) - This is the perfect type of transition item. Throw a denim jacket on top and you are ready for cool mornings and warm afternoons. This one has a TON of amazing reviews and comes in several different colors.

6. Camo Sweatshirt ($11.00) - I actually own this one, too!  It's a lightweight sweatshirt, which I like for this time of year and comes in several colors/prints.  I sized up for an oversized fit which is perfect for leggings.

7. Denim Jacket ($19.00) - My light washed denim jacket is probably one of the most worn items in my closet. I wear it year round and it is the perfect layering piece.

8. Sleeveless Knit Dress ($9.00) - See number 5! This is the same dress in a basic black. Dress it up with fun jewelry or dress it down with cute sneakers.

9. Fleece Pullover ($15.00) - Last winter everyone went crazy for the Walmart fleece and this year's version is even cuter!  For this price you should stock up for everyone you know!  Monogram them, wear them with jeans or leggings, and stay warm and cozy all season long.

10. Stretch Knit Jegging ($12.00) - Another highly reviewed item and a great basic that you'll get so much wear out of. These come in several prints and solids.

11. Sofia Vergara Denim ($24.00) - Only available at Walmart, these jeans have been called "Magic Jeans" fitting all body types and with just the perfect amount of distressing help keep you looking trendy.

12. Fleece Pullover ($15.00) - See number 9! We love a basic black, but the leopard gives us all the heart-eyes!

13. Snakeskin Star Sneakers ($24.00) - I own these and LOVE them so much. I've worn them a ton, they are so comfortable, have a memory foam foot bed and I know I'm going to wear them all season long.

14. Checkered Tote ($47.00) - A total knock-off, but I'm here for it! This is another item I personally own and while obviously not the real-deal, it looks pretty good and for the price can't be beat. It's also a great size!

15. Checkered Tote ($47.00) - See number 14!  Same bag, different color.

16. Lightweight Anorak Jacket ($21.00) - I've seen this one in person and it looks really nice.  It's lined with a coordinating print and just super stylish with the way you can cinch in the waist.

Fashion Fix: Eva Franco + A Giveaway!

Who's happy to finally have a reason to start wearing cute clothes again?!?!  While most of quarantine had us living in loungwear and summer has us living in swimsuits, we are so happy that things are starting to open up and give us a chance to wear some of our new favorite pieces.  Date night anyone? Girls night out? Just a random trip to Target? We're here for it ALL!!!

We love Eva Franco for so many reasons, but most of all because of the bright and colorful patterns she uses in her designs. It just makes them so fun for summer.

We also love the feminine details like ruffles, tiered skirts, and the flattering cuts of all her pieces.  A lot of her styles can be found at Anthropologie, but you can find even more on her own site and right now everything is on major sale!

They also offer a lot of different styles of masks which we know everyone is in need of right now.  Our favorites are the ones that attached to a coordinating headband and these jersey knit ones because they are so soft.

We're very excited to be hosting a giveaway for one of our lucky followers to win a $200 gift card!  You'll be able to pick out some very cute things for yourself or even something practical like some new back to school masks for your kids!  Either way we know you'll be excited to win!  Head on over to Instagram and look for the picture below to enter to win!

Friday Favorites: Tie-Dye Trends at Target

Happy Friday, friends!  Our kids have been off school this week for Winter Break so it's been a semi-relaxing week here for us.  The end of our winter break means March is just over a week away. In our minds March means spring and spring means new trends.  One trend we are LOVING for this spring is tie-dye.  Everywhere you look you'll see tie-dye pieces and one of our favorite stores has a ton of tie-dye trends.  Target never lets us down!

1. Pajama set - $24.99 - These are SUPER soft!!!

2. Olive crewneck sweatshirt - $24.99 -

3. Hooded sweatshirt - $24.99 - We love the way this one laces up in the front. Super cute with leggings or jeans now and will be great transitional piece for spring!

4. Hooded sweatshirt - $24.99 - This one is pretty with the pastel colors and the shorter length makes it a great one to wear with shorts down the road.

5. Short sleeve blouse - $19.99 - This blouse is really light weight and the dye effect is very subtle.

6. Sports bra - $19.99 - Comes in a couple colors and are very bright and fun!

7. Long sleeved blouse - $29.99 - This bright yellow is certain to brighten up any gloomy day as you look forward to spring!

8. Leggings - $34.99 - These come in a few colors and coordinate with the tie-dye sports bras.

9. Lounge sweatshirt - $19.99 - We love this super soft sweatshirt and the color is just beautiful!

10. Sleep dress - $19.99 - The same super soft material as the pajamas and something you will want to sleep in every night!

11. Blue cozy sweatshirt - $29.99 - This is a super lightweight sweatshirt and we just love the circle dye pattern on it!

12. V-neck tee - $8.00 - Want a super affordable piece?  This is it!  This tee is really soft, we love the bright color dye design and would look great with leggings, jeans or denim shorts as it starts to warm up! It also comes in yellow.

What We've Been Wearing {October}

Happy Halloween friends! October was packed with so many events that it FLEW BY! I can't even believe that tomorrow we wake up and it kicks off all the holiday things.

Weather wise we had a little a bit of everything for October. There were record high temps in the 100's. Then we went to rain and cold. Then we had like two days of Fall. And this evening we are dropping down to 34 degrees.

So...fashion wise I'm sharing a little bit of everything for any climate you might live in.

Here are some of my favorite fashion finds from this past month. Some are staples I've had in my closet for the last few years that are still available and some are new finds that I know will be making heavy rotation during the cooler months ahead. All are amazing, and I can't recommend enough.

Kicking off the month I broke out one of my favorite jumpsuits for our 5 year anniversary bash.

I purchased this ruffle jumpsuit last year and have worn it to so many events since then. It's less than $30, is super flattering, and extremely comfortable.  It also comes in a ton of colors, and some are even less than $15!

| Jumpsuit | Jewelry (use code MAGNOLIA25 for 25% off) |

I love sweatshirts. My favorite outfit to wear in the Fall is a sweatshirt, shorts, and flip flops. The weather only allowed for it a few times this month, but I still was able to soak it all up in comfort.

This camo sweatshirt has been my go-to, and it's crazy embarrassing how many times I wore it this month. I keep meaning to purchase a few more colors because it comes in a ton. It's oversized, super cozy and I noticed right now it's on sale.

While on vacation in September I spotted these Magnolia earrings from a local jeweler at a boutique. I couldn't resist for obvious reasons. I was nervous they would be heavy like other earrings I've worn this style, but surprisingly they are really light.

Speaking of jewelry, I think this next piece might win for "favorite of the month".

| Jewelry | Boots | Jeans | Sweater |

It's no secret we are big fans of James Avery Artisan Jewelers.  I have pieces dating back to when I was a child, and still wear them today. They make such quality jewelry, and I love that there are so many ways to wear their charms.

When I opened the new Fall catalog and saw this state of Georgia charm I couldn't resist. Between cheering for our favorite football team, and showing off a little state pride I knew it would be something I could incorporate into a lot of outfits.

I have a charm bracelet I was going to add it to, but then I spotted this interchangeable leather charm bracelet and thought it would be perfect. I've worn it as a stand alone bracelet or have stacked it with my James Avery Hammered Cuff. Both ways I've received tons of compliments. I love that I'm able to change out the charms easily or add to it with just one click. Definitely one of my more favorite purchases for the month.

Check out some of the other new Fall items from James Avery. You'll swoon and get way ahead of the gift giving game because there's just too many fun goodies not to share.

Fall means football and we've been so here for it all season.

| Game Day Sweatshirt | Black Cut-off Jeans | Jean Jacket | Black Pants | Gingham Pillows | Red & Black Sneakers
The real MVP though has been these sneakers. We were introduced to Kizik sneakers over the summer, and now that we've had some time to wear them we might be ruined of all other sneakers.

| Black Sneakers

Aside from being on trend, they are super comfortable. Which is a must when it comes to being on your feet all day tailgating and watching the game. But the coolest part has to be that they are "hands-free". We were a little confused by this feature at first, but it really is neat. They have been designed to be put on without using your hands. The heel just magically slips on. It's pretty neat and something we wouldn't have ever thought we would care about until we put on another pair of sneakers and realized how convenient it is. Definitely worth another pair (or two!).

And being a sweatshirt lover, I can't resist mentioning this super soft Game Day sweatshirt. It's fleece inside is so cozy and now that we are getting into our cooler games it will be the perfect go-to for game days!

Game Day bags are a necessity around here, and I am so excited to finally find a stadium approved bag that isn't hideous.

I grabbed a black one for me and a rose gold one for Carrie Beth. It has tons of pockets, and still is large enough for a large iPhone with some wiggle room.

The strap is adjustable, and can be worn a few different ways. I like the crossbody style the best though. It also comes in a ton of colors and fun patterns. Definitely worth looking into for a cute stadium or travel option. Especially now that more and more places are instating the clear bag rule or restricted size bags.

This roll sleeve tunic has been a closet staple of mine for years. Each Fall Nordstrom brings it back, and each year I wear it. I now own it in three colors.

| Tunic Top | Sweater | Leggings | Rain boots

It's the perfect length for leggings, but not too thick you can't tuck it in for a dressier look if needed. It's comfortable, doesn't wrinkle, and comes in a ton of colors.

Depending on the event I might throw on a cami underneath because the cut is a little low on me. But I've seen some people and it not be so deep. If you're more petite like I am you might opt for one of these easy cami tanks that I love.

(Psst - saw the tunic shirts are on sale right now!!)

Speaking of things I own in a ton of colors...

| Asymmetrical Snap Fleece | Leggings | Boots

This asymmetrical snap fleece is one I can't live with out. I purchased my first one two or three years ago, and now own four colors. This black and white buffalo check fleece being the latest. This one seems to run a smidge smaller than my others to me, but I still love it. It's currently on sale as well, and if you don't own one grab it. It will quickly become one of your favorite things you own!

That wraps up what I've been wearing this month. If you see me in November, and I'm wearing one of these outfits, don't be shocked. ;)
