Fri-YAY! I am so excited the weekend is finally here! It's been a long one and I am looking forward to some downtime. And maybe Target shopping or two on Sunday. ;)
Today we are linking up with the gals that host Friday Favorites (Erika, Narci, and Andrea) to share my favorite snacks. I'm a snacker by nature. I've always grazed all day and not been a big fan of huge meals. Fortunately, this trait came in handy once I became a mom, as I figured out sometimes you are just too busy or exhausted to sit down for a meal. Carrie Beth and I used to joke that once we became mommies 90% of our meals came in packages.
I have a ton of snacks on hand in our pantry, but currently these are my go to favorites.
GRANOLA BARS
I am a huge coconut lover and these two bars are my new favorites: Zone's Perfectly Simple Toasted Coconut and Kind's Almond & Coconut. They are so scrumptious and have that perfect coco nutty taste that I always crave.
SMOOTHIES
I love how healthy and filling smoothies are, and its such a quick easy thing to stop and grab. I get smoothies so often from my local Smoothie King that they usually know my order before I even speak and will often start to make it as soon as they see me walk through the door. My go to flavor is Orange Kabaam. I craved it during my pregnancy with Cute and never stopped. I also like the new Apple & Kale if I feel like I might need something a little green and I like the Immunity one as well.
Little Cute has acquired my love for smoothies as well. Any chance she gets she will scramble over to my smoothie when I am not looking and start sucking it down with an impressive amount of speed. Occasionally, I will get her one of the child size ones for her. She thinks she is so big when she gets one of her very own.
CFA's FROSTED LEMONADE
Oh. My. Lawd. (Don't you love it when we speak southern to you?) Let me just tell you, this probably doesn't qualify as a snack per say, but my goodness is it good. I'm pretty sure I am single handedly helping Chickfila meet their monthly margins on this new drink. I've tried both the regular and the diet versions and they are equally as scrumptious.
We shared this pic on our Instagram account of the boys drinking trying theirs for the first time, and I am pretty sure they are just as in love with its lemony goodness. I can't pass a CFA without Cute asking for one...and who am I to deny that adorable face? Or let him drink alone.
BARK THINS
I have saved the best for last. We received Bark Thins in our Savvy Sassy Moms Product Scout box earlier in the month, and I have not stopped eating them since. They satisfy my sweet tooth, are healthy, and are packed with fair trade certified, non-GMO ingredients. So chocolate that is good for you. Count me on board.
I've eaten them every chance I could get. I was able to enjoy a rare coordinated Cute nap time, and the first thing I did was grab my Bark Thins (Yes, I said "my". I don't share the good stuff.), and this month's book club selection and sit on my front porch in pure bliss.
This past weekend, they made an appearance during our Master's watching. Mr. Cute got ahold of the bag and I had to keep myself from snatching it back. I kept telling myself, "You can buy more. Stores sell more. Chill."
And that's just what I did. After school drop off Monday morning, I made sure in the monsooning rain to make a quick trip to the grocery store to restock. I've also learned they have a coconut flavored one. I might need an intervention soon.
Well there you have it - my favorite snacks. After all that, I'm a little hungry now...
What do you snack on? What are some of your favorites?
Happy Snacking!

YAY! I can't wait to try some of these. I'm a snacker too and more times than not, it's a piece of candy here or there. Not to healthy. I always love trying to options.
ReplyDeleteAnd you can believe I will be shopping Target on SUnday - just thinking I'll stick to online first. :) Hope y'all have a great wknd!
I am an awful snacker! Some of these at least were healthy (although they don't taste like it!). Can't wait to see what you find on Sunday! I keep thinking online might be the way to go.

Kylie - so yummy! It's seriously so good! I have been on a mission too. Everywhere I've gone they've been sold out. They must be that good. Coconut is my weakness. :) I am definitely going to have to look this weekend when I am at Target. Thank you for the suggestion!
DeleteNow I have to buy dark thins! Hope they sell them in canada!
